The unknown jewel of Lake Como.

A long ride all along the lake side road, passing by old lakeside villas and churches, plus the steepest climb around the lake with grades up to 22%,, riding on a narrow road with wonderful views on upper Lake Como, Valtellina and Valchiavenna, until we reach a wonderful natural balcony with a 360° view on the Lake, its mountains and its valleys; the most demanding and at the same time most rewarding ride around Lake Como.

Way back on the other side of the Lake till the wonderful village of Varenna, then ferry cross to the famous village of Bellagio, and return to Como on the marvellous lakeside winding road.

The Ghisallo, where Coppi and Bartali built their victories at the Lombardia, and the Epic Wall of Sormano (1.1 km, with 17% average and 30 % maximum grade, the toughest climb on planet earth according to Bike Radar), in other words the iconic climb of the epic age Lombardia and the final part of nowadays one.

The story of cycling melted with wonderful landscapes on the lake, the village of Bellagio, the Madonna del Ciclista (a chapel dedicated to cyclists) and the cycling museum on top of the Ghisallo and the wonderful winding road from Como to Bellagio.

Cycling along the roads that surround Lake Como is an incredible experience that attracts more and more cyclists from all over the world every year. A unique place that combines breathtaking views to epic mountain climbs, every year these roads see the passage of “Il Lombardia" one of the most popular professional races of the Italian cycling circuit. Cyclists who watch the race will surely.

Roads that still continue to surprise them, despite the fact that they have ridden on many other exclusive roads in the world, not as professional riders, but more simply as those who want to experience a new bike. Nove Colli, Strade Bianche, Stelvio Santini, Prudential Ride London, Veloton Berlin, Mallorca312, Etape du Tour, Haute Route are some of the Granfondo where the BKLK riders have been invited to, in order to tell their experience of cyclists in search of their personal challenge or simply a ride in unique lands or cities closed to traffic.

 BKLK was founded in 2015 from an idea of Giovanni who had long thought to write about Cycling. Max, who had just started pedaling and had the enthusiasm of a young boy, immediately joined Gio’ in the venture. Both with a background in the digital sector, they brought Simone on board, he is a lawyer and the real hard-core pedal rider, the one who always leaves everyone behind when climbing a mountain.
